Hi, I'm Ryan Abbadi, the founder of Fishbone Ventures. My journey in finance and strategy has been driven by a genuine passion for building relationships and creating value. From my early days networking across Wall Street to leading strategic initiatives at high-growth companies, I've discovered that the most impactful solutions emerge from meaningful connections and collaborative partnerships.
Throughout my career spanning Bank of America, Warby Parker, and various venture-backed startups, I've built a network that crosses industries and functions. These relationships have not only enriched my professional journey but have also enabled me to bring diverse perspectives and expertise to complex business challenges.
When establishing Fishbone Ventures, I discovered a perfect alignment between methodology and meaning. The fishbone diagram, a powerful analytical tool for root cause analysis, represents our systematic approach to problem-solving. But there's a deeper story behind our name that reflects our core values.
In 2021, I fulfilled a lifelong dream by bringing home an English bulldog named Kaiser. His first collar bore a tiny blue fish skeleton tag – a choice that became a cherished running joke and special memory with my fiancée. Though Kaiser's time with us was brief, his impact on my life was profound. He had an extraordinary way of connecting with everyone he met, from neighbors to strangers, showing me daily how genuine relationships enrich our lives and create lasting impact.
In 2024, while training for the New York City Marathon, I designed Kaiser's tag as a logo and wore it proudly on my chest during the race. Running those 26.2 miles with his symbol close to my heart wasn't just about honoring his memory – it was about embodying the persistence, strength, and genuine connection he represented. These same qualities now form the foundation of how we approach every client relationship and business challenge at Fishbone Ventures.
